The Dodge Charger Will the Raise the Bar in 2019

August 22nd, 2018 by

The Dodge Charger has long held a special position in the modern auto market. The only four-door muscle car currently in production, drivers turn to it when they’re looking for a vehicle that can comfortably seat their family while also providing a robust driving experience beyond the abilities of a normal sedan.

A Market Favorite Gets Even Better

As one of the brand’s bestsellers, Dodge is hoping to keep Charger sales strong in 2019 with a bevy of upgrades aimed at improving its performance.

What exactly will the new model offer? Drivers will have access to six distinct trims that are each aimed at providing an experience tailored toward a different kind of driver. The new SXT trim, for instance, will come with all-wheel drive, a favorite feature among people living in areas with frequent bad weather. The Charger GT and R/T models will employ a selection of design upgrades aimed at providing a more aggressive look and performance. And the Charger SRT Hellcat? With a 707 horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8, it’ll be the most powerful four-door sedan on the road.

Speaking about the Charger, Dodge executive Steve Beahm indicated that the 2019 model is being designed to maintain the Charger’s already strong position in the market. “Charger is on track to lead the large car segment in the United States for the fifth straight year in 2018,” said Beahm. “We intend to keep that string alive by updating the product to deliver the performance and capability that our customers demand.”
